My first step to building this game, was to figure out how many wires I needed and getting the wires in the appropriate form to solder. I used the circuit diagram to find this information, and had Mr. Perry direct me in how to prepare the wire for soldering. The wire I used was very thin and it would be nearly impossible to cut the plastic off around the end (as pictured above), without fracturing the wire itself. Instead, I used a lighter to melt the plastic and then quickly pulled the melted plastic off with my fingers. To assure there was no melted plastic on the end of the wire that could prevent my project from working, I used steel wool to clean the ends.
Once I had all of my wires prepared, I twisted them into the appropriate places that connect the top and bottom elements.
